For first time in its six year history The Gathering will come to Scotland’s capital city. The UKs largest voluntary sector event will take over the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) for two days.

This year's Gathering will be like no other, being the first to be held in the midst’s of a global economic downturn. Despite these challenging times, Scotland’s third sector will unite under one roof, to show their resilience and support for each other as well as the communities they serve.

Another reaction to the current turbulence in the financial and political arena is an increasing interest in the third sector and the activities of voluntary organisations, this year's Gathering promises its biggest footfall on record with over 5,500 people expected to attend over the two day event.
