About the Gathering

Gather...
Scotland’s Third Sector is a vast and diverse amalgam of people and organisations. From small community groups to national charities; from social enterprises, housing associations and credit unions through to child care, recycling initiatives and care organisations. All are different, but all exist for the public benefit. We are all committed to trying to make a difference.

Mix...
The joy of this mixture is always apparent at The Gathering where the chief executive of one of the larger organisations gets the opportunity to listen and learn from a small organisation and on the same day perhaps start a programme of work with another that will bear fruit for people who need help in years to come.

Network...
With a footfall of nearly 5500 people from across the voluntary sector and beyond, the networking opportunities at The Gathering are huge. Take advantage of the chance to reach a new audience, influence decision makers and get people involved in your organisation.

Getting your message out...

The Gathering consists of three parts – the marketplacefringe events and the larger conference zone.

  • The marketplace and podium are the ideal place to let others know about your organisation, new services or products.
  • Host fringe events:  seminars, meetings or mini-conferenceswithin this much bigger event and take advantage of this enthusiastic and engaged audience. Events can be of any size from 20 to 600 people.
  • The Gathering team can assist you in programme planning, publicising your event, arranging room set-up and event registration on the day.
  • Organisations working around common themes such as poverty or childcare can get together and create their own zones within the exhibition. We can offer discounted rates on multiple stand bookings.
  • Plus in case the excitement is all too much there will be the ever popular chill out and stress busting area.
