The vast majority of current Scottish Rural Development Programme funding goes to farmers and land managers, with only a small proportion being invested in community-based initiatives and enterprises. With a new programme being designed over the next year, SCVO believes it’s time to make the case for a fairer share of the budget for Scotland’s rural communities.
